CBSE Class 10 results 2020 declared, 91.4% pass
This year the students scoring 90% and above stands at 1,84,358 as against 2,25,143 in 2019. This year it is 9.84% of the students who appeared for the exam. Last year it was 12.78%.

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education class X results were declared on Wednesday with a pass percentage of 91.46% an increase of 0.36 percentage point. Unlike the class XII results in the class X the number of students scoring 90% and above and 95% and above have seen a drop.
This year the students scoring 90% and above stands at 1,84,358 as against 2,25,143 in 2019. This year it is 9.84% of the students who appeared for the exam. Last year it was 12.78%.
Similarly, the ones scoring 95% and above this year is at 41,804 as against 57,256. This year it is 2.23% as against last years 3.25% of the total students who appeared.
For the class X too, the board has not released the merit list. For the students of northeast Delhi around 12 exams could not be held due to the riots and then lockdown. For the rest of the country the class X exams had been completed.
Among the regions, Trivandrum is again at the top with 99.28% pass percentage, followed by Chennai at 98.95% and Bengaluru at 98.23%. Unlike in the class XII results where Delhi was on the fourth position, in class X it is at the second last position with 85.96% pass percentage.
In class X results the Kendriya Vidyalaya’s are on the top with a pass percentage of 99.23%. Though their pass percentage has dropped slightly from 99.47% in 2019. JNV’s behind them at 98.66%.
Girls are ahead of the boys in their performance. The pass percentage of girls is 93.31% and of the boys is 90.14%. The pass percentage of the boys is same as that of 2019. Like the class XII results the pass percentage among transgender students have dropped to 78.95% as against 94.74% in 2019.
