
CBSE Board Class 10th Result 2020 LIVE Updates: The results of over 18.89 lakh students who registered to appear for the class 10 board exams has been declared. This year the passing percentage was recorded at 91.46, with Kerala’s Trivandrum emerging as the best performing district. Students can check their results at cbse.nic.in or cbseresults.nic.in. The results are also available at Digi locker and Umang app.
The CBSE class 10 results 2020 are special because this year, the marks have been awarded without conducting all the exams. For the exam which was not conducted, CBSE has awarded marks based on an average of the highest three marks obtained in subjects for which marks were held.
For those who appeared in three exams only the best of two papers will be considered. Those who appeared in one or two exams, the internal assessment will also be considered, as per the board.

To pass the exam, students need to obtain at least 33 per cent marks in every subject as well as overall. In CBSE class 10 result 2019, as many as 91.1 per cent of the about 18 lakh students had cleared the exam. In 2018, the pass percentage was at 88.67 per cent.

The UMANG app is available on both Android and iOS. Students will need to download the app first and then open and click on the mark sheet tab displayed on the home screen. To check the result students will need to enter their roll number and date of birth.

The students can check the results through the website- cbseresults.nic.in. Click on the download ‘result link’. Enter registration number or roll number. Result will be appeared on the screen. Download it, and take and take a print out for further reference

The pass percentage of government-run schools is at 94.94 and govt-aided schools at 91.56 per cent. The Central Tibetan School Administration schools were at third place with 98.23 per cent pass percentage, while independent schools or private schools registered a pass percentage of 88.22 per cent
Girls have been the best performers gender-wise. As many as 93.31 per cent of girls who appeared for the exam could clear the exam, while for boys the pass percentage remains the same as 2019 at 90.14 per cent. For transgender students, however, there has been a huge decline from 94.74 per cent pass percentage to 78.95 per cent.

Like the previous term Kerala's Trivandrum has once again emerged as the best performing district. The region recorded 99.28 passing per cent and is followed by Chennai, which has 98.95 passing per cent.
While most expected a much improved performance this time, but the passing percentage saw a slight improved as compared to 2019. This year CBSE recorded 91.46 passing percentage, which is an improvement by 0.36 per cent.

Earlier last week during the class 12 result declaration, the board recieved huge flak from students after official websites failed to reflect results for several hours after being released.
