The Congress dissolved all the district and block committees of the state on Wednesday after removing Sachin Pilot from the post of Rajasthan unit president. He also informed that the process of formation of new committees will start soon.

Pandey tweeted, "All India Congress Committee has decided to dissolve all District and Block Congress Committees of Rajasthan Pradesh with immediate effect." The process of formation of new committees will start soon.

Significantly, the Congress took strong action on Tuesday against Pilot and his fellow leaders who took an uprising against the Ashok Gehlot government. Pilot was removed as deputy chief minister as well as the state president of the party. Two supporting ministers were also removed from their posts. Govit Dotasara has been appointed as the new chairman of Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee in place of Pilot.
