Nagpur: Heavy downpour leads to Ambazari lake overflowing

NAGPUR: Citizens woke up to flooded streets in low-lying areas on Wednesday after heavy rainfall lashed the city the night before. The heavy downpour also led to the Ambazari lake overflowing.
Sources said the lake usually overflows in August-September every year and last overflowed on September 16, 2019.
In 2018, the city had witnessed heavy downpour and it overflowed on July 7 itself. Before this, it overflowed on August 18, 2017.
On Wednesday, the lake started overflowing early in the morning when its water crossed the overflow point of 31m.
