West Bengal Madhyamik Result 2020, WB WBBSE Board 10th Madhyamik Result 2020 LIVE Updates: The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE)  declared the result of Madhyamik class 10 examination on Wednesday, July 15. A total of 86.34 per cent cleared the Madhyamik exam this year, recording the highest pass percentage ever.

Boys have outprerformed girls with 89.87 per cent. The pass percentage of girls is 83.48 per cent. Last year, the pass percentage was 86.07 per cent. East Midnapore topped among the districts in Bengal with a pass percentage of 96.59, followed by West Midnapore and the two 24 Parganas (North and South). The pass percentage in Kolkata stands at 91.07.

Aritra Pal has topped in the Madhyamik examination this year with 694 marks (99.14 per cent). Sayantan Garai from Bankura district and Abhik Das from East Burdwan secured the second rank with 693 marks. The third rank was secured by three students with 690 marks. They are Soumya Pathak from Bankura, Debasmita Mahapatra from East Midnapore and Aritra Maity from North 24 Parganas district.

Aritra Pal from Memari in East Burdwan district topped the exam after bagging 694 marks out of total 700 (99.14 per cent). 8.43 lakh became successful this year

This year total 10,03,666 students appeared in the examination out of which 8,43,305 were successful. The pass percentage of male students stood at 89.87 per cent while that of female students stood at 83.48 per cent.

How to check Madhyamik result

The students can check the results through the website- wbresults.nic.in.. Click on the download ‘result link’. Enter registration number or roll number. Result will be appeared on the screen. Download it, and take and take a print out for further reference.

Highest pass percentage recorded last year

The WBSSE recorded its highest ever pass percentage after 86.07 per cent students were declared successful in 2019. Sougata Das from Mohammad Deshapran Vidyapith in East Midnapore district had then emerged as the leading scorer, fetching a record 694 out of 700 marks (99.94 per cent).
