Cape Town City have reported no cases of Covid-19 during their mandatory second round of testing ahead of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) restart.
All Absa Premiership and GladAfrica Championship clubs will undergo two rounds of testing before players can be cleared for competitive action.
While the first round revealed a number of cases as clubs including Stellenbosch FC and Kaizer Chiefs, City are the first team to report that all of their players remain negative.
A brief statement from the club read: "The club can confirm that the second round of PSL #COVID19 testing produced 0 positive tests across the entire club.
"The club has undergone the final round of testing in preparation for return to football matches in the BSE (biologically safe environment).
"We are now fully compliant to finish the 2019/20 season!"
