IAS officers reshuffled, Chavi Ranjan new DC of Ranchi

Ranchi: The state government on Tuesday reshuffled 18 IAS officers, including deputy commissioners of several districts. In an order issued on Tuesday afternoon, Ranchi DC Rai Mahimapat Ray was replaced by Chavi Ranjan, who is currently director of the state agriculture department. Khunti DC Khunti Suraj Kumar has been sent to East Singhbhum (Jamshedpur). Gumla DC Sashi Ranjan will be the new DC of Palamu while joint secretary (planning-cum-finance) Divyanshu Jha has been made DC of Chatra. Higher education department director Sushant Gaurav has been appointed Simdega DC.
Rajesh Kumar Pathak, special secretary agriculture, animal husbandry and cooperative department, will take up the post of Garhwa DC while director of animal husbandry department Chitranjan Kumar has been named Sahebganj DC. Joint election commissioner Dilip Kumar Toppo will be Lohardaga DC and commissioner (adivasi welfare) Sishir Kumar Sinha is Gumla DC. Special secretary (higher education) Rajesh Singh has been sent to Bokaro to replace incumbent DC Mukesh Kumar.
In Deoghar, DC Nancy Sahay is replaced by Hazaribag town commissioner Kamleshwar Prasad Singh, while the project director of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Uma Shankar Singh, is made Dhanbad DC. Transport commissioner Faiz Ahmad has been made DC of Jamtara. Commercial tax commissioner Bhor Singh Yadav has been transferred as DC Godda. IG (prisons) Sashi Ranjan is appointed as Khunti DC.
Manish Ranjan, who was awaiting posting, will be the commissioner of Kolhan division. Rajesh Kumar Sharma, who was awaiting posting, is made secretary (information technology and e-governance department). K Srinivasan, who is also awaiting posting, will be secretary (in-charge) of the mines and minerals department, the order said.
