Patiala district magistrate Kumar Amit said on Wednesday that 15,000 per million
Covid-19 tests have been carried out in the district so far.
Kumar said that so far, more than 30,000 tests have been done while the quarantine rate of 1,200 to 1,300 people for one positive case in Patiala district is highest in the state.
Responding to a query from the viewers during a Facebook live session, the DM said that although the cases of Covid-19 were on the rise in the district, but the patients were not showing serious symptoms or were on ventilator support.
The DM said more than 3,000 beds had been arranged in the district hospitals of which only 385 have been used so far. He said that in wake of increasing cases, the administration has created containment zones in many areas including
