Confectionery manufacturer distributes PPE and freshness kits to Gurgaon’s front-line warriors

In a symbolic show of respect and gratitude to the front-line workers battling the COVID-19 pandemic in Gurgaon, a leading confectionery and gum manufacturer has partnered with the local civic administration and healthcare authorities to distribute Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits and 'freshness kits' to the city's corona warriors.
In this initiative, Perfetti Van Melle India has partnered with the Gurugram Deputy Commissioner’s office, the district AYUSH Center and the Gurugram Civil Hospital to distribute these kits to doctors, nurses, housekeeping staff, and security staff at the hospitals where COVID-19 patients are being treated.

The ‘freshness kits’ have been curated by the company to include items that help refresh front-line workers, who are on their feet during their long, arduous workdays. Rajesh Ramakrishnan, Managing Director, Perfetti Van Melle India, says, “It is our honour to support and thank the front-line team that has been working tirelessly in these testing times. These kits are a means of expression of our gratitude.”
On Wednesday, the team distributed over 300 kits to front-line workers at the Civil Hospital in Sector 10. Each kit contained a sanitiser, hand wipes, N-95 masks and confectionery products.
Additionally, the company will also be providing PPE kits to the AYUSH department. Amit Khatri, DC Gurugram, says, “We are very happy that Perfetti is taking this initiative to support our front-line workers during this crisis. This will help in their safety and comfort as they work towards protecting people.”
