Representative imageLUCKNOW: Additional district judge D N Singh on Tuesday granted bail to UP Congress Minority Cell president Shahanwaz Alam and NSUI state vice-president Anas Rahman in connection with anti-CAA protests case.
The court directed their release from jail when they furnishing two sureties for each amounting Rs 50,000 and a personal bond of same amount.
The court also directed Alam and Rahman not to indulge in any crime after release. It also directed them to co-operate the investigating officer. It also restrained them from leaving the country without permission of the court.
Alam has been in jail from June 30, 2020, and Rahman since July 10, 2020.
Both had pleaded that they were falsely implicated in the case and were not named in the FIR.
