Wanderers appoint Jean-Paul de Marigny as head coach
Western Sydney Wanderers have appointed Jean-Paul de Marigny as their permanent head coach, signing their former interim manager until the end of the 2020/21 season.
Six months after the sacking of Markus Babbel, the former assistant to the German has been named as his eventual replacement, earning his first full-time head coaching position. De Marigny was awarded the permanent position after overseeing an improvement in the Wanderers form that has put them back in contention to finish in the top six.

"When JP took the reins for the first time we immediately noticed a shift in the group, a change in their character that had more aggression and passion to win,” Wanderers chair Paul Lederer said.
“With JP at the helm and our squad working hard at our fantastic Centre of Football, we eagerly anticipate the return of the Hyundai A-League and watching our group take the steps required to make our many members and fans proud.”
