Bangalore Karnataka Lockdown news guidelines rules coronavirus latest updates: Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation has suspended bus services from July 15 to July 21 due to lockdown in the Bengaluru Metropolitan area, Bengaluru Urban and Bengaluru Rural districts. The corporation to operate essential services for permitted activities. However, bus services will continue to remain available for essential services in the Karnataka capital apart from the containment zones. For essential services, bus services will remain available from 7 am to 7 pm.

Lockdown will be imposed in Bengaluru from tonight. Karnataka government has extended lockdown in containment zones till July 31. A complete lockdown has also been announced in Dharwad, Dakshina Kannada, and Kalaburagi.

Bangalore lockdown guidelines, rules, update, news

The “Complete lockdown” would be enforced in Bengaluru Urban and Rural districts. The lockdown will from 8 pm on July 14 i.e today and will remain till 5 am on July 23.

Vegetables, milk, and grocery shops will remain open from 5 am to 12 pm. Essential items will be delivered in-home.

Hotels and restaurants have been allowed to operate with a takeaway facility or home delivery system.

KSRTC, BMTC, and private buses won’t ply during the lockdown. Taxis, auto-rickshaws, cab aggregators services, metro rail services are not allowed during the lockdown.

The inter-state and intra-state movement of passenger vehicles is allowed for emergency purposes.

Already scheduled flights and trains will continue.

Most of the government offices will remain shut. Secretariat Offices in Vidhana Soudha and Vikas Soudha are allowed to open with 50 per cent of staff.

Karnataka lockdown guidelines, news, rules Dharwad, Dakshina Kannada, Kalaburagi, Raichur districts

Apart from Bengaluru urban and Bengaluru rural districts, the Karnataka government has announced a strict lockdown in three more districts – Dharwad, Dakshina Kannada, and Kalaburagi.

Karnataka government has also decided to impose lockdown in the urban areas in Raichur and Sindhanur in Raichur district from July 15 to July 22.

In Karnataka’s Kalaburagi, shops are closed and streets wore a deserted look as complete lockdown is being observed. District Administration has ordered lockdown in Kalaburagi from July 14 to July 20, to check the spread of coronavirus

Karnataka Minister Jagadish Shettar had announced lockdown in Dharwad district from July 15 to July 24. The lockdown will come into force from 10 am on July 15 i.e on Wednesday and will remain till 8 pm on July 24.

Lockdown in Dakshina Kannada will be for a week. As per the latest information, lockdown in the district will be enforced from 8 pm on July 15 to 5 am on July 23.

Karnataka corona cases: The state has recorded 2738 new coronavirus cases and 73 COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours. Total coronavirus positive cases in the state are 41,581 and the death toll stood at 757. As many as 545 COVID19 patients have been admitted to ICU. Karnataka government has conducted 8,56,148 tests for Coronavirus across the state.

Karnataka district wise Coronavirus COVID19 cases: Bengaluru Rural has recorded 385 coronavirus cases, Bengaluru Urban has registered 19,702 COVID19 cases, Bagalakote has 436 cases, Ballari 1,788, Belagavi has 497 cases, Bidar has 1,061 cases, Chamarajnagar has 180 cases, Chikkaballapura has 445 cases, Chikkamagaluru 154, Chitradurga 111 cases, Dakshina Kannada 2353 cases, Davanagere has 581 cases, Dharwada has 1,159 cases, Gadag has 322 cases, Kalaburagi has 2192 cases, Hassan 710 cases, Haveri has 307 cases, Kodagu has 185 cases, Kolar has 306 cases, Koppal has 245 cases, Mandya has 718 cases, Mysuru has 966 cases, Raichuru has 763, Ramanagara has 388 cases, Shivamogga has 520 cases, Tumakuru has 481 cases, Udupi has 1,662 cases, Uttara Kannada has 634 cases, Vijayapura has 844 cases, and Yadagiri has 1,450 cases.

Karnataka, Bangalore quarantine, home isolation rules: Karnataka Health Department has issued circular advising ‘strict isolation or quarantine at home’ for people who have undergone COVID19 testing till their results are declared.

In Bengaluru, more than 80 labourers working on the Nagavara – Gottigere lane of Namma Metro phase two, have tested positive for coronavirus.

The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike(BBMP) has stopped the transfer process of its officials and staff due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. BBMP Commissioner B H Anil Kumar has issued a circular stating that any transfer would affect COVID19 management work. Hence, all transfers have been stopped, as per IE report.
