A Congress MLA has said that the party's door has not closed for Sachin Pilot as yet, even as it sacked Pilot from the post deputy chief minister of Rajasthan and as the state party chief on Tuesday.

The Congress MLA, who was in Manesar with Sachin Pilot, said that he has been told party leaders Jitin Prasad and Deepender Hooda are in talks with Sonia Gandhi currently.

Congress sacked Sachin Pilot as the Rajasthan deputy CM and the state party chief on Tuesday after he skipped a second legislative party meeting.

Along with Sachin Pilot, two other Rajasthan ministers -- Ramesh Meena and Vishwendra Singh -- who had joined the Pilot camp were dropped from the cabinet.

The decision to sack the rebel leader was announced by Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjeawal.

“I regret that Sachin Pilot and some of his associates have been swayed by the BJP's plot and are now conspiring to topple the Congress govt elected by 8 crore Rajasthanis. It is unacceptable,” the Congress spokesperson said.

After Sachin Pilot was removed as the state party chief, the Congress appointed Govind Singh Dotasra as the Rajasthan PCC Chief.
