New Delhi: Tuesday marked a month since actor Sushant Singh Rajput died. Marking the day, actor Rhea Chakraborty, who was reportedly in a relationship with Rajput, broke her silence on social media to say she was was “still struggling” with dealing with the tragedy.
“Still struggling to face my emotions … an irreparable numbness in my heart,” Rhea said in an Instagram post that also had two of photographs of her with the late actor. The couple were scheduled to co-star in an upcoming movie.
“You are the one who made me believe in love, the power of it. You taught me how a simple mathematical equation can decipher the meaning of life and I promise you that I learnt from you every day. I will never come to terms with you not being here anymore,” reads Rhea’s post.
Calling Sushant a “shooting star”, the 28-year-old wrote that she will wait for him.
“I know you’re in a much more peaceful place now. The moon, the stars, the galaxies would’ve welcomed “the greatest physicist” with open arms … I will wait for you my shooting star and make a wish to bring you back to me,” she posted.
Towards the end of the post, the former MTV VJ wrote: “Be in peace Sushi. 30 days of losing you but a lifetime of loving you. Eternally connected. To infinity and beyond.”

Rajput’s former girlfriend Ankita Lokhande also posted a message to mark the one month death anniversary of the 34-year-old. Sharing a photo of a lamp, Lokhande wrote: “CHILD Of GOD.”
Casting director Mukesh Chhabra, Rajput’s Dil Bechara co-star Sanjana Singh and actor Shekhar Suman also posted tributes to the late actor.
Rajput is believed to have hung himself in his Mumbai home on 14 June. His death sparked a controversial debate over nepotism in Bollywood and police. Mumbai Police have also been investigating his death and have recorded statements of around 30 people, including Chhabra and Yash Raj Films’ casting director Shanoo Sharma.
The trailer to Rajput’s last movie Dil Bechara released last month, with the movie slated to release on 24 July.
