Reliance Jio Phone 3 may launch on July 15

Reliance Industries is set to hold its 43rd annual general meeting (AGM) on July 15. Speculations are rife that the company may unveil the third-generation of Jio Phone, likely to be called Jio Phone 3.

The previous two models — Jio Phone and Jio Phone 2 — too were announced at the AGMs from previous years.

To recall, the first Jio Phone was launched by Mukesh Ambani at the 40th Reliance Annual General Meeting on July 21 2017 at an "effective" price of Rs 0, for which the buyers had to pay Rs 1,500 first. Jio Phone 2 was unveiled in 2018, at the company’s 41st AGM held on July 31 2018. JioPhone 2 launched at Rs 2,999.

Given the past record, it is likely that the company may launch the third edition of the Reliance Jio Phone as the company AGM. So far there are no details available about Jio Phone 3’s specifications.

Like all other events of the year, the AGM too will be held virtually, making it the first online AGM for the company.

In order to facilitate shareholders, prospective investors, media, and the general public, the company has launched a chatbot on WhatsApp, which acts as a 24x7 help desk equipped to handle queries related to RIL AGM.
