NEW DELHI: To combat air pollution, New Delhi Municipal Council on Monday inaugurated anti-smog gun at Central Park in Connaught Place.
“It will reduce air pollution by spraying atomised water into the atmosphere so that dust and pollution particles are removed from the environment, and PM 10 and PM 2.5 levels are reduced by 60-70%,” said the official. “The initiative was part of our preparation to curb pollution in the future. We will send a report to NGT through EPCA.”
EPCA chairman Bhurelal, however, refused to have any information about the development. “We have neither been updated nor has anyone consulted us before engaging the machine,” he said.
