NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading lower in Tuesday's session.

<br> Shares of Mindtree (down 2.88 per cent) , NIIT Technologies (down 1.98 per cent) , HCL Technologies (down 1.89 per cent) , Tata Consultancy (down 1.61 per cent) , Infosys (down 1.2 per cent) , Tech Mahindra (down 0.85 per cent) and Wipro (down 0.7 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

<br> The Nifty IT index was trading 0.92 per cent down at 15673.7 around 02:30PM.

<br> Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 197.60 points at 10605.1, while the BSE Sensex was down 669.77 points at 36023.92.

<br> Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 3 were trading in the green, while 47 were in the red. 
<br> 
<br> Shares of Vodafone Idea, BHEL, SBI, Tata Motors, RBL Bank Ltd., IDFC First Bank Ltd., ICICI Bank, YES Bank, Bharti Airtel and Ashok Leyland were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
