Tamil Nadu chief minister
Edappadi K Palaniswami and officials and other staff members in the camp office have tested negative for
Covid-19.
An official release said samples were lifted from the chief minister and all his staff members on Monday. “It was found that the chief minister is not infected with
coronavirus,” said an official release. None of his staff was also found to be infected.
Three members of the Palaniswami cabinet -- K P Anbalagan, P Thangamani and Sellur K Raju --- have tested positive for Covid-19. Four MLAs from the AIADMK and three from the DMK tested positive. DMK MLA J Anbazhagan died of Covid-19.
The state government hitherto tested 15.85 lakh people at 105 testing centres.
