Class XI admission in govt schools in UT Chandigarh to begin from July 21, prospectus to be out today

CHANDIGARH: Education Department, UT Chandigarh will start Centralized Online Admission process to Class XI (Science, Arts, Commerce and Skill Courses) in 40 Government senior secondary Schools from July 21 onwards.
Online prospectus for the same will be available on education department’s website and website of NIELIT from July 14 onwards.
Last date to submit online registration form is July 30, 2020. Total number of seats available in all Government schools under four streams are 12500, approximately.
Candidates will have to submit online registration form along-with scanned documents as per details mentioned in the prospectus.
This time there will be no need to submit print-out or hard copy of the registration form. To facilitate the students in the online filling of form and uploading the scanned documents,
For all those students who are unable to fill the online form for any reason, admission helpdesks have been set up in 20 Government schools, which would function from 9am to 1pm on all working days.
However, students can visit these schools after fixing time slot on landline number (mentioned in prospectus) of the school they plan to visit for filling in the form.
Procedure for admission

Students can also use the support of NIELIT Centre, Sector- 30 from 10:00 am to 05:00 pm on all working days.

Procedure for admission
- There is only one Registration Form for all the streams.
- Registration Form is to be filled online with a Registration Fee of Rs. 130 payable through Net Banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card.
- After logging in on the website, a candidate can generate his/her account by filling in the basic details. After filling in the basic details by the candidate, a unique ID and Password will be generated, which the candidate has to remember or write down for any future reference.
- Maximum 20 options for different schools/ streams can be given in registration form. Candidates scoring above 60% have to fill up a minimum of 10 options of Schools and streams of his/her choice. Further, the candidates having below 60% marks are required to fill in minimum of 15 options for school/stream.
- Candidate can edit the already submitted Registration Form till 30-7-2020 i.e. the last date for filling of Registration Form.
- Common Merit list will be displayed on 07.08.2020 and in case of any discrepancy/ objection, the candidates can submit the objection through email on a specified proforma by logging in with his ID and password.
- Keeping in view the norms of social distancing, physical interaction in the entire admission process has been eliminated. Students can visits helpdesks for guidance after taking prior appointment on phone.
