106 new Covid cases, 2 more deaths in Gurgaon

Gurgaon: The city on Monday reported 106 fresh cases taking the tally to 6,966.With two more Covid deaths in the city on Monday, the death toll has risen to 107.
“An 81-year-old man and a 93-year-old man succumbed to Covid on Monday. Both had diabetes and the 93-year-old man had coronary artery disease,” said Dr Jai Prakash, district surveillance officer.
Meanwhile, with 80 more recoveries on Monday, the total number of recoveries is the city has reached 5,808. A health department official confirmed that the city’s recovery rate is 83%. A total of 811 patients are currently in home isolation and 33,216 people are under surveillance in the district, an official said.
In Faridabad, 245 new Covid cases were reported on Monday, taking the tally to 5,662. The Faridabad health department has tested 35,022 people so far, of which results of 29,278 were negative.
Gurgaon and Faridabad continue to report the maximum Covid cases in Haryana. With 689 cases on Monday, the tally in Haryana increased to 21,929. Moreover, 308 deaths have been reported so far in the state.
