In the midst of rapidly changing political developments in Rajasthan, the raid of some companies in Jaipur and Kota by the Income Tax Department has been termed as undemocratic by the Chief Whip of the Government, Mahesh Joshi.

When asked by Chief Whip Joshi, he said, "This is undemocratic step, dictatorship ... Hitlership." Joshi said that Congress leaders are raiding people and institutions associated with them. He said, "They are dictators and corrupt people. They can do anything."

Two of the companies against which action is being taken in Jaipur are considered close to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
