Bangalore Karnataka Lockdown news guidelines rules coronavirus latest updates: Karnataka government has announced a lockdown in Dakshina Kannada and Dharwad districts starting from Thursday. This comes after a ‘complete lockdown’ was announced in the state capital Bengaluru. Coronavirus cases in Bengaluru are nearing 19,000-mark. COVID19 cases in Dakshina Kannada and Dharwad have crossed 2000-mark and 1,000-mark respectively.
Informing about the lockdown in Dakshina Kannada district, Kota Srinivas Poojary, District in-charge Minister of COVID-19 in Karnataka government, told ANI: “We have decided to impose complete lockdown in Dakshina Kannada district from 16th July for one week. Lockdown norms will be issued soon by Deputy Commissioner.”
Karnataka Minister Jagadish Shettar has announced lockdown in Dharwad district from July 15 to July 24. The lockdown will come into force from 10 am on July 15 and will remain till 8 pm on July 24.
Lockdown in Karnataka, Bangalore: Karnataka has announced that “Complete lockdown” would be enforced in Bengaluru Urban and Rural districts from 8 pm on July 14 and 5 am July 23. Meanwhile, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation has announced that it will be operating 800 buses to various destinations on Monday and Tuesday in view of the one-week lockdown in the state capital Bengaluru.
Karnataka, Bangalore quarantine, home isolation rules: Karnataka Health Department has issued circular advising ‘strict isolation or quarantine at home’ for people who have undergone COVID19 testing till their results are declared.
Meanwhile, former Prime Minister and JDS supremo H D Deve Gowda has suggested that the Karnataka government impose a one-week statewide lockdown to curb the spread of COVID-19. He has said that it was a good decision by the state government to enforce lockdown Bengaluru for one week and the same measures should be taken for the state.
Karnataka has recorded a 2,627 new Coronavirus cases and 71 COVID19 related deaths in the last 24 hours. With these total coronavirus cases tally in Karnataka reached 38,843 and COVID19 death toll is 684. Karnataka capital Bengaluru has reported 1,525 coronavirus positive patients and 45 new COVID19 deaths in the last 24 hours. The coronavirus cases tally in Bengaluru now stands at 18,387. In an alarming situation, out of Karnataka’s 684 COVID19 related deaths, as many 198 or 30 per cent have been reported since July 10.

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa held a meeting with state Revenue Minister R Ashoka and Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Commissioner BH Anil Kumar to discuss the ongoing pandemic situation in the state.
