Yamunanagar improves 13 positions from 19th to 6th in Class X Haryana board results

Yamunanagar deputy commissioner (DC) Mukul Kumar said the district has shown remarkable improvement in Class X result as compared to the previous year’s results.

YAMUNANAGAR: District Yamunanagar has climbed to 6th position from 19th in Class X results declared by the Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) Bhiwani on Friday. In the past, the district was among the worst performing district in board results. The officials said it has happened due to hard work by teachers, students, and strategy of the education department.

Yamunanagar deputy commissioner (DC) Mukul Kumar said the district has shown remarkable improvement in Class X result as compared to the previous year’s results.

He congratulated all the officers of the education department and teachers on this achievement.

The officials told in Yamunanagar a total 15,320 students appeared in Class X board exam, out of which, 10,411 qualified, 3,773 disqualified and 1,136 got compartments.

“The district has shown the highest improvement in Class X result in the state as compared to the previous year. The result of Class X was 33% in 2017, 36% in 2018, and 36% in 2019 but this year it has shown significant improvement by recording 67.96% pass percentage. The district is on the top among all the districts in the State which has shown the highest improvement of 32% in the result”, said DC Mukul.


“A core committee was formed to improve the board results. The detailed planning was made and the poor performing schools of each education block were identified. The academic inspection of these poor-performing schools was made compulsory for all the officers. In addition to it, the revision of previous years question papers of board examination and extra classes for weak students were also held in schools. The planning and strategy worked for us and we have been able to achieve improved results. The district is at 6th position in the state and we plan to improve further in the coming years”, further added DC Mukul.


Yamunanagar district education officer (DEO) Namita Kaushik told, “The education department has been working hard under the guidance senior officials and we have been able to climb to 6th position. The credit goes to all the students, officers, school heads, and teachers. We congratulated the students and call upon them to improve their performance further.”
