The Income Tax Department is conducting searches on the premises linked to a jewellery company and another business house in Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur and Kota.
“The searches are being carried out at four places — Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur and Kota — in connection with suspected tax evasion,” said an IT Department official, without revealing the identity of those involved.
According to sources, the jewellery company and the industrial house are based in Rajasthan.
It is learnt that the co-founder of the jewellery company, Rajiv Arora, is the vice-president of the Congress State unit.
