Lara Dutta to begin shooting for her latest movie ‘Bell Bottom’

The gorgeous Lara Dutta recently confirmed the news with a post on social media that she will soon be seen on the big screen with ‘Bell Bottom’. The beauty queen who celebrated the 20th anniversary of her glorious win at Miss Universe 2000, is back in action with many projects in hand and her fans are going crazy with the news.

Lara who was last seen in the movie 'Welcome to New York' which was released in 2018, made her digital debut on Disney Hotstar with ‘Hundred’ which has been accepted with much love by the audience. The movie ‘Bell Bottom’ is a spy thriller set in the 1980s, and the movie title is named after the famous bell-bottom trousers that were the rage in the 1970s. The movie which has Akshay Kumar in the lead also stars Vaani Kapoor and Huma Qureshi.

The story of this film is said to be inspired by true events, written by Aseem Arora and Pervez Shaikhand. In the high-end thriller, Akshay Kumar will be portraying a never seen before avatar. While the movie was rumored to be a remake of a Kannada movie, Akshay cleared the air and confirmed that the movie is an original screenplay inspired by true events and not a remake.

Bell Bottom which is scheduled to be released on the 22nd of January 2021 is the first Bollywood movie to begin shooting after the extended lockdown due to the pandemic. The film's unit will be headed to the United Kingdom by the end of this month while the shooting will begin in August. Lara expressed her emotion through a post captioned, “Keeping up with the new normal 💪 Excited to join team #Bellbottom 😍 shoot to begin in August!”

The movie is directed by Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Lucknow Central', fame, Ranjit M Tewari and is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh of Pooja Entertainment, in association with Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikhil Advani of Emmay Entertainment.
