MYSURU: The total number of Covid-19
fatalities in
Chamarajanagar touched two, after a 65-year-old
retired employee of the
health department, who
tested positive in
Kollegal, breathed his last in a Mysuru hospital on Sunday. A resident of Kollegal, he was brought to a private hospital in Mysuru on Wednesday, after developing breathing issues.
However, Chamarajanagar district health department officials said that they are yet to receive a confirmation in this regard.
The locality from where the patient is in Kollegal town was sanitised and sealed by the police and health department.
Meanwhile on Sunday, Chamarajanagar recorded 10 new
Covid-19 cases. According to the district health bulletin on Sunday, 28 Covid-19 patients were discharged, which is the highest in a single day. The district has 96 active cases now. The district has recorded a total 173 positive cases so far. “Among the 96 active cases, three are being treated in the ICU,” said the authorities.
