India has so far recorded 8,49,553 cases, which includes 21,604 deaths. Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Gujarat have reported the highest number of cases. However, the recovery rate is rising and now stands at 62.9 percent.

Coronavirus in Uttar Pradesh LIVE updates | 64 people arrested, 1,904 vehicles penalised in Noida for violating COVID-19 curbs
Sixty-four people were arrested and owners of 1,904 vehicles penalised across Noida and Greater Noida yesterday for allegedly violating curbs imposed in view of the COVID-19 pandemic, Gautam Buddh Nagar police said.
Twenty-two vehicles were impounded for violation of the curbs during the 24-hour period till last night, the police said.
The Uttar Pradesh government has imposed a lockdown in the state from 10.00 pm on July 10 till 5.00 am on July 13 to check the spread of COVID-19. (Input from PTI)

Maharashtra's COVID-19 cases spiked by 7,827 to 2.5 lakh yesterday, while the number of fatalities mounted by 173, including 102 deaths in Mumbai metropolitan region, to 10,289, state Health department said.

Four more COVID-19 patients have died and 735 new cases pushed the tally in Assam to 16,806 yesterday, Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said. A total of 41 COVID-19 patients have died in the state so far.
Of the total 16,806 cases in the state, there are 5,873 active cases, 36 deaths, 10,894 have recovered and three migrated out of the state, Sarma said.
The state has so far tested 5,52,376 samples, he said. (Input from PTI)
