Some people commented beneath his post and said they were aware of the app and used it regularly to make shopping faster.

'It's great isn't it? I got told by a new Bunnings staff member. Saves time because there are so many places to find things. I now just need the location in the aisle and also a frequent shopper discount,' said one customer.

'As I don't drive I find this app invaluable, as I can order online, order and pick up or tell my family exactly what aisle the product is in,' said another.

A third added: 'You just need to make sure you have it set for your store as each store is set out slightly different'.

Other Australians were equally as surprised by the app's existence and were preparing to download it for themselves.

'Omg an app! Thank you for sharing, I didn't know either. No more ringing for help when in the store because you can't find anyone,' one woman said.

'This would have be helpful over my last 12 months of renovations and the numerous trips back and forth, it would have saved me so much time,' said another.

'My hubby is a boss there and I feel like he's holding out on me. There's been this app, the return of plants if I kill them and so much more I find out on this page,' said a third person.

'I think it's time he took me seriously and understands I'm a "need to know" Bunnings customer. He needs to forget that I'll spend all our money and just tell me everything.'

The app was released in May and has the ability to group products you want into 'low to high aisles' so you can tick off each item in the store in the order of the aisles you walk past, without mindlessly traipsing around.

At the moment you can't purchase products directly through the app although it's something the store might consider including as it increases in popularity.
