Rajasthan: More than 100 MLAs claim to attend Congress meeting!

The meeting of the Congress Legislature Party started in the Chief Minister's residence on Monday afternoon amid the ongoing political upsurge in Rajasthan. The meeting also includes MLAs from the Congress as well as its allies.


The meeting was to begin at half past ten in the morning amidst the crisis arising due to the revolt being adopted by state Congress President and Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot, but it started around half past one in the afternoon. Before the meeting started, the media was allowed to take photographs of the legislators and leaders present there.

When asked about the number of MLAs present there, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot did not give a direct answer. However a party leader claimed that a total of 1,06 MLAs are present while two MLAs are on the way.

Along with the Congress, two BTP MLAs, one RLD MLA and independent MLAs supporting the Congress are also present in the meeting. Along with this, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal, who came from Delhi, party's state in-charge Anivash Pandey and national spokesperson Randeep Surjewala also attended the meeting.
