UP: Classes for undergraduate in universities to begin from Oct 1

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], July 12 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh government has issued guidelines regarding the beginning of next academic session in state universities, according to which classes of graduation first year will start from October 1 and classes of post-graduation first year will start from November 1.
The government directed that the admission process for the graduation first year shall be completed by September 15 and for the postgraduate by October 31.
Online classes except for first-year students shall start from August 4.

In Varanasi, all economical actives will be permitted from Monday to Friday till 4 pm. The movement of people will be restricted from 5 pm to 6 am in Varanasi. Passengers with tickets of trains and flights will be allowed.
In the view of coronavirus outbreak, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said that all markets will remain closed on weekends in the state.
He said that all markets will be allowed to open from Monday to Friday and the sanitisation process in markets will be carried out on Saturday and Sunday.
The directions came from the Chief Minister while he was reviewing the UNLOCK process in the state. He has also ordered to conduct 50,000 COVID-19 tests per day in the state.
Uttar Pradesh is currently under lockdown till 5 am on July 13. (ANI)
