COIMBATORE: Forest department officials, with the help of snake rescuers, rescued a 15-foot-long king cobra from a farm in Narasipuram and released it in Siruvani forest on Saturday.
After receiving information about the snake at the farmland near the forest, a team of officials, along with snake rescuers, captured it.

Officials said the female snake had entered farmlands in the area twice. It was released in the forest near Vaidehi Falls.

“As local residents were scared that the snake would return to the area, we released it in a different spot this time,” an official said.
