Collector inspects Covid care centres

Coimbatore: Collector K Rajamani on Saturday inspected the Covid-19 care centre in Codissia and reviewed work of the 200-bed Covid-19 ward at the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital.
The collector was accompanied by city health officer M R Rajan, deputy director of public health Dr G Ramesh Kumar, joint director of medical services Dr Krishna and CMCH dean Dr Kalidas. He interacted with the nurses and doctors at the care centre.
The ward at CMCH will be used if the beds in ESI Hospital are full. ESI Hospital, which has 400 beds, can be upgraded to 800 beds and once that is exhausted, patients will be sent to CMCH.
