Coronavirus in Coimbatore: Five cops at Thudiyalur police station test positive for Covid-19

COIMBATORE: Five personnel at Thudiyalur police station in Coimbatore tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday.
The station is temporarily closed for fumigation, and personnel are now working from a nearby marriage hall.
Swab samples will be taken from 30 cops at the police station.
According to sources, sample was taken from a head constable, who had flu symptoms, five days ago. He continued to come to the police station for duty.
Samples were taken from four more cops who also had flu symptoms. All the five cops, including a woman cop, at the station tested positive on Sunday.
On Saturday, a grade-I constable at Sulur police station tested positive for Covid-19. The station was closed for fumigation.
