Viper-Powered, 500 HP Dodge Ram SRT-10 With Just 4k Miles Up For Grabs

Even though very powerful pickup trucks aren’t for everybody, some people really like dabbling in this segment, whether it’s for something new like a Ford F-150 Raptor, or an older model like this 2004 Dodge Ram SRT-10.

The truck is getting auctioned off through Bring a Trailer, and according to the ad, it’s done just 4,000 miles. It’s also one of just 1,040 regular cab examples built for the 2004 model year that happen to have a Flame Red exterior and a black leather interior.

Other features include the unique raised hood with a functional scoop, revised front and rear bumper covers, sculpted low cladding, removable bed spoiler, polished 22-inch wheels with red calipers and the SRT-10/Viper badging.

Compared to a normal third-gen Ram truck, the SRT-10 stands closer to the road by 1-inch (25.4 mm) up front and 2.5 inches (63.5 mm) at the rear. It also has stiffer springs, Bilstein dampers and a factory-standard rear axle shock that’s supposed to limit wheel hop.

Moving on to the interior, we’ve got black leather upholstery with perforated suede for the bucket seat inserts, embroidered SRT-10 logos, power-adjustable aluminum pedals, a factory Hurst shifter, air conditioning and an Infinity audio system.

Of course, none of these features are as impressive as the engine fitted to the Ram SRT-10. It’s a Viper-sourced 8.3-liter V10 unit, which produces 500 HP (507 PS) and 525 lb-ft (712 Nm) of torque. All that grunt is sent to the rear wheels with the help of a Tremec T-56 six-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential. This is what you might call a “driver’s truck”, if there ever was such a thing.

At its best, this truck could accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 4.9 seconds, while maxing out at 147 mph (237 km/h).
