As many as 4,244 persons tested positive for coronavirus infection in Tamil Nadu over the past 24 hours, the state health department officials said.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, the health department said the state recorded new coronavirus infections for 4,244 persons, taking the total tally to 1,38,470.
The total number of Covid-19 patients who died over the past 24-hours was 68 taking the death tolling the state to 1,966.
The state capital Chennai continues to lead the Covid-19 infection chart with 1,168 persons testing positive for the virus while the infected toll from other districts stood 3,076.
