Haryana: Ambala pass percentage up by 10

AMBALA: Ambala district has seen an improvement of 10% in its class X result as compared to the last year. A total of 58.90% students have passed this year’s state board exams, while it was 48.58% pass percentage last year. However, the overall ranking of Ambala among 22 districts of Haryana is 20. According to the data, a total of 12,185 students appeared in class X examination, of which, 7,177 have passed, 4,036 students have failed, while 972 have got compartments.
It is after six years that Ambala has crossed above 50% pass percentage in class X results of Haryana board.
Pushpinder, a student of Government Senior Secondary School, Majri village, scored 491out of 500 and obtained 98.2% in class X. He is the topper of Ambala district in Haryana board examination.
Ambala deputy district education officer Sudhir Kalra said, “The first and third positions have been achieved by students of government school.”
