Mumbai: Spat between couple brings Peddar Road traffic to a halt

The woman even climbed up the bonnet of the Range Rover and sat there.
MUMBAI: Traffic movement on north bound arm of Peddar Road in Mumbai was hit on Saturday evening as an altercation broke out between a couple. The traffic police later challaned the woman for abandoning vehicle at public place.
Around 4.30-5pm, a man in his thirties was travelling in a black Range Rover car with a female co-passenger. They had reached Peddar Road when the man's wife, who had been tailing them in a white car, forced them to a halt. She stood in front of the Range Rover, blocking its path and yelling at her husband. Traffic policemen present on the road asked her to leave, but she wouldn't budge. She even climbed up the bonnet of the Range Rover and sat there.

After her husband got off the car, she walked away with him but only after kicking him in full public view.
“The traffic policemen brought the two cars and the couple to Gamdevi police station. Our officers asked them if they wanted to lodge any complaint. Both refused and left the police station,” said a police officer. A station diary entry was made.
