Tamil Nadu: Heavy rain batters Salai Road’s RoB in Trichy

TRICHY: Heavy rain in Trichy on Saturday night left a portion of Salai Road’s Road over Bridge (RoB) damaged.
Trichy corporation has now begun repair work to restore the road.
An official said that 15 metres of the approach road branching off from Salai Road’s RoB, towards the Mainguard gate, caved in due to heavy rain.
Civic body officials placed barricades to divert vehicles.
“Earth filling work to strengthen the approach road is underway, it will be completed in a day. Following this, the road will open for vehicle movement,” said the official.
