Punjab: 2 held with 47kg ganja in Khanna

LUDHIANA: Khanna police have arrested two drug peddlers after recovering 47kg of ganja from their possession on Ludhiana-Delhi highway.
The accused were identified as Rinkal Kumar and Krishna Kumar, both from Ludhiana district.
SSP Khanna, Harpreet Singh said that during a search operatio, a police party saw a white Swift Dzire car bearing registration number HR-77-B-7186 coming from Gobindgarh side. He added the police asked the driver to stop the vehicle. During questioning, the driver of the car identified himself as Rinkal Kumar while the co-passenger identified himself as Krishna Kumar. The officer said that during the checking, police recovered the narcotic consignment from the vehicle in presence of DSP (Investigation) Khanna Manmohan Sarna.
Cops said that both the accused were booked under various sections of NDPS Act at Khanna City-2 police station. They added that accused have been arrested and are still being questioned.
