Chauhan who is considered one of the leading researchers in India on Phyto Pharmaceuticals and has multiple patents granted by the Indian Government in this area. The faculties in the department are PhD’s drawn from Global Institutions with a focus on Biomedical Devices, Biosensors, Clinical Informatics, Biological Data Mining, etc. The students have access to various high-end laboratories such Cell/Molecular Biology Lab, Bioprocess Engineering Lab, Animal Cell Cultures Lab, Bioinformatics Lab, Microbiology/ Immunology Lab, Plant Tissue Culture Lab, Genomics & Proteomics Lab, Food Technology & Nutrition Lab.

The department is equipped with state-of-the-art instruments and software which help to realize and characterize Embedded systems, 5G communication systems, VLSI Circuits and System. Engineering Physics: Highly Research focussed program taught under the leadership of Dr. Krishna Thyagarajan who is considered among the best research faculty in India in the field of Optics and Photonics. For his research in this field, Dr. Thyagarajan is appointed as Member of Council of the International Scientific Board of the "Centre for Quantum Optical Technologies" of the International Research Agenda Unit for the period 2018-2023 by the Rector of the University of Warsaw, Poland.
