Amitabh Bachchan hospitalised: Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan on Saturday tested positive for COVID-19 and was hospitalised. The 77-year-old actor shared his health update on Twitter.

Reports stated that he has been admitted to the Nanavati hospital in Mumbai. PTI reported that he has been admitted in the isolation ward of the hospital.

In the tweet the veteran actor informed that he has tested positive for coronavirus. Through the tweet, Bachchan also urged all those who had been in close proximity to him in the last 10 days to get themselves tested for coronavirus.

He also stated that his family and staff have undergone coronavirus tests and their results are awaited.

His tweet garnered hundreds of wishes of speedy recovery from the who’s who of the film industry and sports world. Superstars like Mammootty and Mahesh Babu were among the first to wish him well.
