Actor Amitabh Bachchan and son Abhishek have tested positive for COVID-19. Both have been admitted to the Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai.

The Bollywood megastar informed about the same on Twitter and asked all those who have been in close proximity to him to get tested for COVID. “I have tested COVID positive. Shifted to hospital. Family and staff undergone tests, results awaited. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested,” Bachchan said in a tweet.

Just an hour after Amitabh announced on Twitter that he had tested positive for COVID, his son too tested positive for the virus.

Bachchan was last seen in Shoojit Sircar’s comedy-drama ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ alongside Ayushmann Khurrana.

Actors and other Bollywood colleagues tweeted their wishes for his quick recovery. Taapsee Pannu wrote, “And you shall be back to health n happiness soon!champ !”
