Covid-19: Would seal border if need arises, says Haryana home minister Anil Vij

AMBALA: Haryana home, health and urban local bodies minister Anil Vij said Saturday said that if there is a need from the emerging situation due to Covid-19, "we would seal the borders of state again".
Vij, while talking to media at his residence in Ambala Cantonment, said, “The recovery rate of Haryana state is about 75% which is very good. Our priority is to cure and treat as many cases as we are recording and our health teams are successfully treating the patients. Whereever cases are increasing, they are in the districts along the NCR-Delhi region and about 80% cases are in Delhi regions. If need be, for the interests of the state, we will take the steps required; whether we need to seal the borders again or impose lockdown. We are bound to take any step to stop coronavirus.”
About the preparations and arrangements in the fight against Covid-19, Vij said, “We have sufficient quantity of institutions for keeping coronavirus patients, doctors, medicine and our priority is to treat the patients.”
Notably, Haryana is continuously recording in a surge in the number of Covid-19 cases especially in the districts sharing a border with the National Capital Region (NCR).
Showing concern about the present situation Vij hinted at sealing the state border with Delhi again.
