LUDHIANA: The District Police in Patiala has booked four persons in
Civil Line Area for allegedly misbehaving with front line warriors who were on duty in micro
containment zone in the city.

Mandeep Singh Sidhu said that four persons identified as Rani, Pooja, Monu and
Karan Kumar were booked under sections 188, 186, 506 IPC & 51
Disaster Management Act for violation of Micro-Containment Zone area at Dhiru ki Majri.
He said that these persons have put a hindrance in the duty of medical staff who were on duty at micro-containment zone. The SSP added that the accused also behaved indecently with health staff following which they were booked under IPC sections and Disaster Management Act as well as they failed to pay any heeds to the warnings.
"Doctors are frontline warriors in this Covid-19 pandemic, who are working day and night and very hard to save humanity. Patiala Police is committed for the safety of Doctors and other health staff and any misbehaviour or assault on any team of Doctors will not be tolerated at any cost", SSP Mandeep Singh Sidhu added.
Patiala epidemiologist Dr Sumeet said, "Around 13 cases have been reported positive in Dhiru Ki Majri area where the health officials were facing difficulties to collect samples of other residents. The residents had misbehaved with the health staff following which the police have taken action".
