
CISCE Board ICSE 10th & ISC 12th Result 2020 HIGHLIGHTS: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi declared the results of ICSE class 10, ISC class 12 exams today. A total of 2.06 lakh (2,06,525) candidates became successful in the ICSE and 85,611 in ISC. The number of unsuccessful candidates in ICSE is 1,377, while candidates could not clear the ISC exam.
More boys appeared for both ICSE and ISC exams. For ICSE, as many as 54.19 per cent students who appeared for the exam were boys while 45.81 per cent were girls. For ISC, too 53.65 per cent of students appeared for the exam were boys and 46.35 per cent girls.

The CISCE exams — scheduled to be held in February and March — got postponed due to the Covid-19 outbreak. The pending exams were later decided to conduct in July, but was cancelled after the rise in number of COVID-19 cases in the country. For the pending exams, the students will be assessed on the basis of internal exams. In case a student is not satisfied, they will have the option to re-appear for the exams on a later date.
According to the council, the result is now available at the websites — cisce.org, results.cisce.org. The students can also check the result via SMS. For receiving the ICSE, ISC exam results, the students need to send their seven digit roll code to 09248082883.

Both ICSE and ISC candidates who are not happy with their marks and believe that they could have performed better, will get an opportunity to reappear in the subjects that couldn't be held. However, the dates for the same have not been announced yet.

Students will have to keep their admit card handy where there roll number and date of birth will be mentioned. The same will be needed to check the result.
To give marks for the subjects for which an exam has not been held, the average of the three highest-scoring subjects (for which exam has taken place) will be counted while the internal assessment of the papers which can also include project work will be added. The weightage of 70:30 will be given to both marking schemes.
The recheck option is only available for subjects for which the exams were held. To know this, one will have to understand how the result has been calculated. Since the board could not conduct all its exams, it has resorted to a new marking scheme.
