I have invested a lump sum in Tata Equity PE fund. Is it good?

I guess that you're looking for the validation of it being good. Yes, it is a good fund with a long history. It has also been very successful in withstanding declining sales. The fund operates with a very simple concept - relatively superior performing companies that are available cheap. So, right now a good part of the market is available cheap but this fund has been able to stick to its stated goal of looking for relatively cheaper companies even when the market was very pricey.
