GURUGRAM: The city on Thursday reported 151
new Covid-19 cases, taking the tally to 6,467.
However, the
health department confirmed that 150 patients recovered on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 5,377. Gurugram CMO Virender Yadav said the district was reporting more than 100 recoveries daily.
One person also succumbed to the virus, taking the city’s Covid toll to 103. Of these, 66 had
comorbidities.
Till now, 27,854 people have been put under
surveillance in the city. The health department has sent 54,724 samples for testing, of which 45,465 tested negative while the results of 546 are awaited.
“As it has been observed that people staying indoors are also getting infected, we will conduct sero-survey in urban clusters and highrises to evaluate the spread of the virus,” a senior health official said.
The state reported 679 new cases of Covid-19 on Thursday, taking its count to 19,369. Of these, 12,930 are men, 6,437 woman and two
transgender.
Faridabad recorded the most, at 182 cases, taking its tally to 5,108.
