Vikas Dubey's Wife Richa Released by Police | Notorious gangster Vikas Dubey's wife Richa and son have been released by UP Police after questioning. They were not found to be involved in the Dubey's crime, said SSP Kanpur Dinesh Kumar.

UP ADG Prashant Kumar on Dubey's Death | "After car overturned, Vikas Dubey tried to snatch police weapon and attempted to flee after which there was retaliatory fire by Police in which he was injured. He was declared dead after being taken to hospital. We'll issue official statement soon," said UP ADG law and order Prashant Kumar.

Condition of Injured Policemen | "The condition of the 3 injured police personnel is stable; bullets brushed by two of them. Vikas Dubey had 3 bullet injuries on the chest and one on his arm," said Dr RB Kamal, Principal, LLR Hospital, Kanpur.

Timeline of Events That Led to Vikas Dubey's Death | Here's a timeline of the incidents leading to Vikas Dubey's death in Kanpur:

◕ Several vehicles of media organisations were accompanying the convoy carrying Vikas Dubey from Jhansi. Some were reportedly stopped before the last toll. However, at around 6:40am the convoy carrying Vikas Dubey crossed the Kanpur Dehat border.

◕ At around 7:30am the vehicle carrying Dubey overturned near the Sachendi Pass.

◕ Taking advantage of the situation, Vikas tried to flee and suffered bullet injuries in the cross-firing that ensued at around 7:40am.

◕ Dubey was taken to Hallet Hospital and at 8:05am where doctors pronounced him dead.

4 Policemen Injured During Accident | According to police, 4 policemen were injured after a car from UP STF convoy bringing back Vikas Dubey from Madhya Pradesh, overturned today morning.

Advocate Ghanshyam Upadhyay had apprehended in his plea that there is a high possibility that Dubey will also be killed in a 'fake' encounter after his arrest from Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh a day ago.

SC Petition 'Predicted' Vikas Dubey's Encounter | A petition was filed in the Supreme Court last evening by a lawyer apprehending encounter killing of Vikas Dubey after his arrest in Ujjain. The petition was by Ghanshyam Upadhyay, who sought a CBI probe into the entire episode. The plea also asked for court-monitored investigation into the manner in which UP police had been killing Dubey's associates in encounter. The petition also wanted the role of UP Police to be probed.
