ICSE result 2020 class 10: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has announced the ICSE Class 10 results 2020 at 3 pm. The ICSE board result 2020 has been released on the CISCE official websites cisce.org and results.cisce.org. There are multiple ways to get the results apart from websites. ICSE Class 10 students can send an SMS to 09248082883 in the format ICSE<Space><Unique Id> to get their board exam results directly on the phone. There will be no merit list this year due to "exceptional circumstances" i.e. all exams were not held due to the coronavirus pandemic.

A notification released by the CISCE states that ICSE candidates or schools affiliated to the board can contact the CISCE helpdesk at ciscehelpdesk@orioninc.com or call 1800-267-1760 in case of any doubts.

How to check ICSE class 10 result 2020
— Visit the official CISCE website here  www.cisce.org or results.cisce.org.
— On the homepage, select the course ICSE.
— Enter your 7-digit UID, Index number and the Captcha.
— Click on Show Result.
— The result will be displayed on the screen.

— Download the results and take its print out for future reference.

Here's how you will be assessed: As per the CISCE board, students will be assessed based on best three percentage marks obtained in subjects for which board exams have been conducted and the marks of their internal assessment and project work will be taken into account. The internal assessment formula applicable for Class 10 i.e. the ICSE will take into account project work.

Students may get the option to write the remaining papers to improve marks. They can also opt for rechecking or re-evaluation of papers at a certain cost. The application deadline for reevaluation is July 16.

  • CISCE has successfully completed the evaluation, says Chief
    "This year has been an exceptionally difficult year for everyone due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the multiple National and States lockdowns, coupled with many other related problems. Despite all odds, CISCE has successfully completed the evaluation of the ICSE & ISC Year 2020 Examinations Answer Scripts and is now ready to declare the results," said CISCE chairman Gerry Arathoon.
    The ICSE Board conducted 61 written examinations this year - which include 22 official Indian languages, nine foreign languages and two classical languages. 

  • More than 1 lakh boys, 95,000 girls gave exams
    As many as 207,902 students appeared for the ICSE Class 10 exams, of which 112,668 are boys and 95,234 are girls - 54.19 percent and 45.81 percent, respectively. Overall pass percentage for 2020 is 99.33 percent.
    For comparison, in 2019, a total of 196,271 students appeared for the ICSE Class 10th exams of which, 89,297 were girls and 106,974 were boys. The pass percentage then was 98.84 percent. Thus, the pass percentage has increased by 0.79 percent.

  • How to download ICSE Class 10 results
    Students can easily download their results by following these steps:

    Step 1: After logging on to either of the two websites of the board: www.cisce.org or www.results.cisce.org, click on Results 2020.
    Step 2: Select ISC for Class 12 as applicable from the course option.
    Step 3: Enter your unique ID, index number and the Captcha text shown on the screen. These details can be found on your admit card.
    Step 4: Click on submit and download your results following instructions given on the website.

  • No merit list for ISCE Class 10 Board Results 2020
    CICSE Secretary Gerry Arathoon has said that the Board will not release merit lists for ISCE Class 10 or ISC Class 12 results this year "in view of exceptional circumstances."
