The ongoing deadlock between India and China has been gradually normalizing for the past several days. The Chinese army has retreated a few kilometers into Galvan Valley in eastern Ladakh. Meanwhile, an official of India's Defense Security Establishment says that India will keep a close watch on China as to whether it upholds the decision on 30 June between military commanders. In the negotiations, it was agreed to withdraw the two armies in a phased manner.

The process began after a discussion between National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister and State Counselor Wang Yi on July 5. High sources in the government said that if the crude road that China has built near the Galvan River on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) was found closed or if the People's Liberation Army (PLA) was seen building a house for the winter, it would be considered He wants to stay there instead of retreating.

According to a Times of India report, the two armies are currently executing the agreement reached on 30 June. According to the sources involved in the talks, the Chinese army has started withdrawing from the areas of PP14, PP15, and PP17A. From here it has removed five of its structures. On the northern bank of Pangong Tso, the Chinese army has retreated by three points to the Finger Four.

However, the Indian Army is not able to do patrolling in the Despang area where it used to do earlier. The PLA has constructed a road up to the LAC and they are now blocking Indian foot patrol here. There is no change in this. The Indian side is closely monitoring the activities of the PLA.

Apart from monitoring the recently created buffer zone, the Indian Army is also closely monitoring the Chinese structures along the LAC. The next round of Working Mechanisms on Coordination and Consultation is going to be held next week. In which the retreat of the armies would be confirmed.
